how much does this all cost?Air travel departing to Entebbe, is the preferred route. (Yes, the El Al jet can still be seen). This is the shortest and most direct flight. Fares usually run around $1000.00 These fares can fluctuate several hundred dollars day to day. They also vary from website to website. Accommodations, meals, transportation and activities are estimated not to exceed $2000. Breakfasts are complimentary. An optional three day luxury safari will cost an additional $950. Gorilla trekking is available but very expensive. Permits run $500/day. The first night of our trip is spent in Kampala at the historic Speke Hotel. For the remainder of the mission, lodging is at the Mt. Elgon Resort Hotel in Mbale. There are pool and spa facilities at this hotel. Lunch is prepared by Rachel at the Abayudaya Guest House. A five course gourmet meal cooked over coals on the floor runs $6.... A goat and sheep are ritually slaughtered by the "shochet" and served on Shabbat in a communal meal.

So you want to do a Safari?
Murchison Falls Reserve is the least crowded of all the big game parks in Africa. We were able to get this close to a pair of mating lions. There is always a ranger riding shotgun on our vehicles. Included, is a boat safari on the African Queen to Murchison Falls. This is one of the most powerful falls in the world.
